Audi Ploughs Into Pedestrian in Deliberate Smash
Two brothers have been convicted after 16-year-old Abdullah Yaser Abdullah Al-Yazidi died in a shocking, intentional car crash on Staniforth Road, Sheffield.
On 4 June 2025, 21-year-old Zulkernain Ahmed recklessly drove an Audi S3 into oncoming traffic, targeting a moped and two electric bikes. CCTV showed the Audi swerving dangerously before hitting one rider and then crashing into Abdullah, who was walking nearby.
Despite rushed efforts by ambulance crews and hospital staff, Abdullah died at the scene.
Fugitives Caught Trying to Flee the Country
The brothers were nabbed at Dover Port early the next day as they tried to flee the UK.
Sheffield Jury Delivers Verdicts
- Zulkernain Ahmed found guilty of murder after a five-week trial at Sheffield Crown Court.
- Amaan Ahmed cleared of murder but convicted of manslaughter.
- Third defendant Adam Mohammed acquitted of murder and three attempted murder charges.
Both brothers had denied all charges. South Yorkshire Police hailed the verdicts as delivering justice for Abdullah’s grieving family and community.
