Pervert Caught Exposing Himself on Busy London Bus Gets Jail Time
Bobby Garande, 27, of Melfort Road, Thornton Heath, has been sentenced after exposing himself on a packed London bus. The incident happened on May 27, and Garande was handed a 16-week prison sentence—time he had already served on remand—at Croydon Crown Court on September 28. He also received a Criminal Behaviour Order with no set end date.
Bus Passenger’s Horrifying Moment
Garande was travelling on the Route 50 bus from Croydon to Norbury when he began his disgusting act. Two women and two children sat opposite him, with another woman seated nearby. CCTV footage revealed Garande touched himself over his trousers before brazenly exposing himself while staring directly at the women.
The pervert jumped off the bus at Norbury Railway Station around 4 pm, but police quickly moved in.
Police Praise CCTV for Nailing Sex Offender
PC Andy Morland from the Road Traffic Policing Command led the investigation. He said: “This is not the first time Garande has committed an offence like this. I’m glad he’s received a 16-week sentence.”
He added, “Exposure and other sexual acts on buses are rare but taken very seriously. The CCTV was vital in bringing him to justice. We have strong technology and won’t tolerate these revolting acts on London’s buses.”

- Garande’s sentencing sends a clear message to offenders.
