Wall Falls After High-Speed BMW Chase

Chaos erupted in Brighton on Friday evening when a wall in Plaistow Place tumbled onto two children. The drama unfolded around 6.35pm after a black BMW smashed into the wall during what police believe was a furious chase between two BMWs.

Serious Injuries and Arrest

An 11-year-old boy suffered a serious leg injury and was rushed to hospital. Another boy, aged 15, escaped with minor injuries. Meanwhile, a 51-year-old Brighton man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear. He is currently in custody.

Police Hunt Witnesses to Crash and Chase

Officers want to hear from anyone who saw the two black BMWs racing through Plaistow Place or spotted anyone fleeing the scene after the crash.
