Car Crashes into Lamppost on Commercial Road – Two Hurt, Including Child
Emergency crews raced to Commercial Road, London E1, after a car smashed into a lamppost this Wednesday afternoon.
The crash happened around 4pm on 12 March, triggering a swift response from the Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service, and London Fire Brigade.
Two Injured, Including Child, But No One Trapped
Early reports say two people were hurt, one of them a child. Thankfully, no one was trapped inside the vehicle, but the severity of the injuries remains unclear.
Road Still Blocked, Traffic Chaos Continues
Commercial Road is shut as emergency teams work on scene. A large police cordon is in place, with officers diverting traffic and paramedics treating the injured.
“There were sirens everywhere and a car completely smashed into a lamppost. Paramedics were treating someone inside the car, and it looked like a child was among those hurt,” said a shocked eyewitness.
Police Investigate, Motorists Told to Steer Clear
The Met Police have been approached for an official statement and are investigating the crash circumstances. Drivers are urged to avoid Commercial Road until the area is cleared.
