School Bus Crashes Into Scaffolding in Sheerness – Kids Escaped Unharmed

A school coach packed with children smashed into scaffolding in Sheerness town centre this afternoon. The single-deck coach, run by Travel Master, was turning left off the A250 onto St George when it clipped newly erected scaffolding.

Kids Safe But Scaffolding on Brink of Collapse

Thankfully, four children onboard walked away without a scratch. But the same can’t be said for the scaffolding, now at serious risk of collapsing. Nearby properties have also suffered structural damage.

Locals Warned This Was Bound to Happen

One local, speaking anonymously, said: “It was only a matter of time before someone crashed into it.”

Another added: “I was watching them put that scaffolding up and just knew the last three poles were a problem for buses and coaches. I’ve been waiting all day for this to happen. The installers put them too far out into a road regularly used by big vehicles.”

More Details to Follow

Police and council officials are expected to investigate whether the scaffolding installation was safe for local traffic. Travel Master is reviewing the incident. Stay tuned for updates.
