Cases Heard at Bromley and Bexley Magistrates’ Courts

On Thursday, May 2, 2024, several cases were heard at Bromley and Bexley Magistrates’ Courts, shedding light on a range of offences and outcomes.

Graham Brand, 57: Graham Brand, residing at Dunkery Road in Mottingham, faced charges related to theft and shoplifting incidents. Brand admitted to stealing two jackets valued at £560 from Calvin Klein in Wandsworth on August 29 of the previous year. Additionally, he confessed to stealing champagne from Sainsbury’s in Eltham and committing theft at Co-op in Mottingham. Despite his admission, Brand failed to appear in court for sentencing, prompting a warrant for his arrest.

Darius Peciulis, 33: Darius Peciulis, a resident of Salhouse Close in Thamesmead, pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage to a wooden gated fence belonging to a woman in Thamesmead on Christmas Day of the previous year. The court sentenced Peciulis to a conditional discharge and ordered him to pay £200 in compensation.

Bradley Sheehy, 35: Bradley Sheehy, hailing from Russett Road in Orpington, faced charges related to his conduct at Thorpe Park Holiday Camp in Cleethorpes on August 6 of the previous year. Sheehy admitted to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour during the incident. As a consequence, he was fined £120.

Sophie Siqhosana, 26: Sophie Siqhosana, residing at Hazel Road in Erith, admitted to a public order offence involving the use of threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour in Erith on August 9 of the previous year. However, Siqhosana failed to appear in court for sentencing, resulting in a warrant being issued for her arrest.

These cases reflect the diverse nature of offences brought before the magistrates’ courts, underlining the importance of accountability and adherence to the law within the community.
