CCTV Footage Released in Shocking Pensioner Murder Case
New CCTV footage has been unleashed as police hunt the killers of 98-year-old Peter Gouldstone. The pensioner died after a violent robbery at his Enfield home in November 2018.
Brutal Attack on 98-Year-Old
Officers were called to Peter’s house on 1 Road, Enfield, on 6 November 2018. He was found with serious head injuries and bruises. Despite being rushed to hospital, Peter tragically died weeks later.
Suspects Caught on Camera
The Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command released CCTV images showing two men lurking in a nearby property’s back garden just hours before the attack. The suspects peered through windows and tried to open doors before making off.
Detective Inspector Alison Cole said: “We believe there were at least three men involved in this attempted burglary and we are very keen to speak to them. We are appealing for anyone who thinks they may know these individuals to get in touch with any information, no matter how small. Mr Gouldstone tragically died following a senseless attack in his own home and we are doing all we can to help his family get the justice they deserve.”
Stolen TV and Reward Offer
Police warn the public to be alert for a 26-inch Panasonic TV (model TX-L26X10B), reported stolen from Peter’s home. Anyone offered this TV is urged to contact police immediately.
The case will feature on BBC’s Crimewatch Roadshow on Monday, 18 March. A £10,000 reward remains on offer for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
