Drunk Driver Caught Nearly Double the Legal Limit in Chatham

Richard Humphreys, 23, from Elliotts Way, Chatham, was slammed with a harsh sentence after being caught more than twice over the drink-drive limit.

Breathalyser Blows Double the Legal Limit

Humphreys pleaded guilty at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on 21 December 2021 for driving while above the legal alcohol limit on 18 November 2021. When stopped, he blew 71 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is just 35 microgrammes.
