Swale Drug Dealer Jailed After Kent Police Sting
Caught Red-Handed in Sheerness
Jason Brown, a 27-year-old drug dealer from Swale, has been slammed with a hefty jail term after a Kent Police prowl squad caught him during a suspected drug deal in Sheerness.
On July 30, 2023, officers from Kent’s Proactive Targeting Team spotted Brown behind the wheel of a Citroen van on Marine Parade. They watched as he handed something suspicious to a passerby, prompting a swift police response.
High-Speed Chase and Drug Haul
After the brief hand-off, Brown sped off but was quickly intercepted on Broadway. A search of his van unearthed cash, bags of cocaine, and a mobile phone. Brown was arrested on the spot.
Raiders later searched his home, turning up even more stash of class-A drugs.
On License, Yet Back to Crime
Brown was already out on license for earlier drug offences, making this bust even more damning. He faced charges of possession with intent to supply and pleaded guilty at Maidstone Crown Court.
On November 27, 2023, the judge handed him a harsh sentence of three years and nine months behind bars.
Kent Police Score Another Win
This arrest shines a spotlight on Kent Police’s commitment to tackling drug gangs. The Proactive Targeting Team’s sharp work put Brown behind bars, delivering a clear message to drug traffickers operating in the region.
