Medway police have dealt a serious blow to county lines drug gangs after swooping on two Chatham addresses. On Monday, November 11, officers executing a search warrant near Magpie Hall Road found seven sealed bags of cocaine, a lock-knife, and a mobile phone believed linked to drug trafficking. Two men were arrested on the spot.
Second Raid Nets More Cocaine and Arrest
At the same time, a second raid on New Road uncovered further cocaine and led to a third man being detained. The suspects – Mark Diss, 42, from East Street, and brothers Ionut, 29, and Gabriel Calin, 23, both from Melbourne Road – now face serious drug supply charges.
Faces Medway Magistrates and Maidstone Crown Court
All three appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on November 13 and were granted conditional bail. They are set to face Maidstone Crown Court on December 9 to answer the charges. Cops hailed the operation as part of a wider crackdown aimed at dismantling county line gangs traffickng class A drugs in the region.
