Brutal Murderer Found Dead in HMP Full Sutton
Filmon Andmichaen, 31, convicted of murdering his six-months pregnant ex-girlfriend in Birmingham, has died in prison. Authorities confirmed his death at HMP Full Sutton in East Yorkshire in July 2025, less than a year after being jailed for life.
Horrific Killing Stunned Birmingham
In August 2023, Andmichaen brutally attacked Liwam Bereket, 26, in her Ladywood flat. The court heard it was a “sustained and cruel assault on a defenceless woman and her unborn child.” He was sentenced in 2024 to life with a minimum 27-year term.
Investigation Underway Into Prison Death
“HMP Full Sutton prisoner Filmon Andmichaen died in custody in July 2025. As with all deaths in custody, the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman will carry out an independent investigation.” – Prison Service spokesperson
The cause of death remains undisclosed. The Prisons and Probation Ombudsman (PPO) is now leading the probe, following standard procedures for all deaths behind bars.
