County Lines Crackdown: Drugs and Phone Seized in SW16 Raid

On Wednesday 18 January, the West Sussex Community Investigation Team (CIT) joined forces with the MET Police’s Operation Orochi unit to hit two addresses in London’s SW16 area. The raids targeted County Lines drug dealing activities, leading to the recovery of cannabis and a phone containing drug-related evidence.

Reiss Castello Arrested in Drug Bust

Reiss Castello, 28, from Pendennis Road, Lambeth, was arrested during the operation and taken to Crawley Police Station. After being interviewed by CIT officers and a consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), he was charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin.

Legal Action and Bail Conditions

Castello was remanded in custody and appeared before magistrates the very next day. He was granted bail with strict conditions, including an electronic curfew and a ban on entering Sussex.
