Reading Duo Jailed for Brutal Airbnb Attacks
Shahime Finch and Muhammad Munir, both 26 and from Reading, have been slapped with a combined 19 years behind bars for a terrifying crime spree across Milton Keynes and Northampton.
Munir Gets 11 Years, Finch 8
In January 2025, the pair forced their way into two separate Airbnbs, armed with a screwdriver and knife. They threatened young women, stole cash, and left their victims traumatised.
At Reading Crown Court on 18 November, Munir was sentenced to 11 years after being found guilty of intentional strangulation, several robberies, and four counts of sexual assault. Finch received eight years for three counts of robbery.
Chilling Attacks on Young Women
- On 18 January, Finch and Munir broke into an Airbnb in Milton Keynes, threatening two women in their twenties. Munir dragged one victim by her hair into a bedroom, brandished a knife, and stole £160.
- The same night, they hit another Airbnb in Northampton. Munir strangled a woman in her thirties, dragged her down the stairs by her hair, and demanded cash.
- Both women were taken to bedrooms where Munir sexually assaulted them as Finch ransacked the properties.
- Victims managed to escape and raised the alarm. The gang made off with around £1,500 and two iPhones.
