County Lines Dealer Jailed for Peddling Heroin and Crack in Gravesend
A county lines drug dealer has been slammed with a four-year prison sentence for flooding Gravesend’s streets with heroin and crack cocaine.
Police Crackdown Hits Home
Habib Sesay, 21, from Darnley Road, was nabbed in January 2020 after Kent Police traced a phone linked to his address. The device was used to coordinate the supply of class A drugs across the town.
Officers executed a warrant on Sesay’s home on 22 January 2020. Though they didn’t find any drugs on site, cash and two mobile phones were seized. These phones revealed a damning 14,000 messages tied to selling heroin and crack.
Guilty Plea Seals the Deal
Charged in February, Sesay was kept in custody until his conviction at Woolwich Crown Court on 10 June 2020. He admitted involvement in drug supply and was handed a four-year term.
Police Speak Out
“Sesay was motivated by the desire to make money from the sale of drugs and cared little for the misery substance misuse causes,” said Police Constable Nicole Mayne, Kent Police’s lead investigator.
“Despite not finding any drugs in his possession, the evidence on those two mobile phones was irrefutable and left him no choice but to plead guilty.
“I am pleased he has been brought to justice. We will keep targeting those who harm our communities by supplying drugs.”
