BMW Driver Stabbed Through Car Window After Running Over Killer’s Bike

A BMW driver was brutally stabbed to death through his car window after running over a mountain bike, dragging it along the road, a court heard.

Fatal Stabbing in Ladywell

Ahmed Gonladieu, 25, stands accused of fatally stabbing Alexandros Josephs, 29, through the window of his BMW on Malyons Road, Ladywell, south-east London, on May 10, 2023.

The attack left Josephs wounded and caused him to crash at speed into a line of parked cars, jurors were told.

Gonladieu denies the charges of murder and possession of a knife.

Harrowing Court Details

Prosecutor Jacob Hallam, KC, told the Old Bailey that CCTV showed Josephs’ grey BMW travelling south on the dead-end road at 1:48 pm. Seven minutes later, the same BMW was recorded speeding north before crashing into parked cars.

“Inside the car, Alexandros Josephs was dying. He had been stabbed deep, with a wound cutting through his liver and aorta,” said Hallam.

“Mr. Gonladieu stabbed Mr. Josephs to death. The question is why.”

Witness Saw the Stabbing Unfold

A witness heard voices outside and looked out to see the BMW parked, with a black-clad man on a mountain bike beside the open driver’s window. Moments later, the witness heard metal scraping and saw the BMW dragging the bike along the road.

The same man then brandished a large knife and stabbed through the open driver’s window before fleeing the scene, yelling, the court heard.

Gonladieu reportedly took an Uber home shortly after the incident.

Aftermath and Arrest

Emergency services rushed to the crash scene but Mr Josephs was declared dead on arrival. The collision badly damaged the BMW.

Forensic teams swarmed the Ladywell crime scene following the deadly May stabbing.

Gonladieu was found in a car later that evening and arrested.

Trial Continues Amid Public Interest

The trial is ongoing as the court probes the full story behind this violent stabbing, which has shocked the local community.
