Wider London Community Reassured Amid Rising Violence

Chief Superintendent Richard Tucker addressed local fears after recent violent incidents, including a separate shooting in Wembley.

“We’re working tirelessly with partners to prevent these attacks. The Wembley and Leyton shootings are not linked. Enhanced policing will be visible in Waltham Forest, Newham and beyond to keep communities safe.”

Residents near the scene can expect a stronger police presence in coming days. Anyone with information is urged to call the incident room on 0208 345 3715 or anonymously via 0800 555 111.
