Late-Night Brawl Rocks Ramsgate
Kent Police rushed to a punch-up at a fast-food joint on King Street after 2am on Saturday, 25 March 2023. Earlier that evening, a separate scuffle had broken out in the Harbour Street area.
Four Men Arrested After Violent Spat
Four Ramsgate men were hauled in the same night. Two ended up in hospital but have since been released and remain in custody.
- Finley Goldsmith, 19, from Park Road, faces charges of affray and grievous bodily harm.
- Samuel Giles, 21, of Bradley Road, charged with affray, grievous bodily harm, and possession of an offensive weapon.
- Alfie Mason, 19, from Queensgate Road, also charged with affray and grievous bodily harm.
- Jack Bamford, 21, no fixed address, charged with possession of an offensive weapon, grievous bodily harm, affray, plus several other offences from separate incidents.
All four have been remanded and are due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 27 March.
Taxi Driver Assault Under Investigation
Police are still hunting for info after a taxi driver was attacked on Margate Road, Ramsgate, at around 11.20pm on Friday, 24 March. The driver was robbed by a passenger and suffered stab wound injuries, though they are not life-threatening.
An arrest has been made, with the suspect released on bail pending further enquiries.
