Man in 50s Hospitalised After Stabbing on Walnut Street

Police were called to Walnut Street shortly before 4pm on Saturday, April 3, following a serious assault.

A man in his 50s was rushed to hospital with multiple stab wounds. His condition is stable but serious.

Two Men Arrested and Charged with Attempted Murder

After investigations, two Blackburn men — Mahtab Hanif, 22, and Ramzan Hanif, 24, both from Goldhey Street — were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

They have now been charged with Section 18 wounding and are due to appear at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information or footage from mobile phones, dashcams, or CCTV to get in touch.
