Gunshots Fired in Brockley – Police Launch Major Operation
Police were called to Brockley Rise, SE23, at 9.62pm on Monday, 12 December after reports of a group of males involved in a disturbance, with one firing a gun into the air.
Officers rushed to the scene and searched the area, but the suspects had already fled. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
Early Morning Raids Snare Four Men in London Firearms Crackdown
Fast forward to the early hours of Thursday, 23 February, when armed police swooped on seven addresses across London in a high-stakes operation linked to the earlier shooting.
The raid, led by armed officers due to the gravity of the case, ended with the arrest of four men on serious firearms charges.

- Jim Reka, 38, of Verdant Lane, Lewisham
- Mirjan Hasanmeja, 35, of Verdant Lane, Lewisham
- Asif Khan, 32, of Wilson Road, Southwark
All four appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 24 February. They were remanded in custody to face Croydon Crown Court on Friday, 24 March.
