Fourth Arrest Made in Blaise Algar Murder Investigation
Detectives probing the murder of William “Blaise” Algar have made a breakthrough with a fourth arrest. An 18-year-old man was detained on Tuesday, 4 February on suspicion of murder and preventing the lawful burial of a body.
He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue. This follows three previous arrests connected to the case.
Three Others Held Over Blaise’s Death
- A 19-year-old man was arrested on Friday, 31 January on suspicion of murder and preventing lawful burial. He’s now released under investigation.
- A 44-year-old man was arrested on Monday, 27 January, also on suspicion of murder and preventing lawful burial. He was bailed to return to a west London police station in mid-February.
- A 17-year-old male from Kensington and Chelsea was charged with murder on Monday, 6 January. He appeared at the Old Bailey on 8 January and is remanded to appear for a plea hearing in May.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Blaise Algar was found dead during a property search on Nowell Road, SW13, on Friday, 3 January. Detectives are keen to hear from anyone who had contact with Blaise in December 2019.
