Sex Beast Ahmed Jailed for Sex Crimes from the 60s and 70s

A 64-year-old pervert from East Bawtry Road has finally been locked up after decades of hiding his vile past. Ahmed was convicted of attempted rape and indecent assault crimes committed against children in the late 1960s and mid-1970s.

Victims Speak Out After 40 Years of Trauma

The judge delivered the sentence after hearing moving statements from Ahmed’s two victims, who bravely detailed the lasting damage caused by his abuse over the last 40 years. The now-adult victims came forward in 2016, revealing horrors suffered between ages four and eleven.

  • Ahmed twice tried to rape a young girl at a Rotherham address.
  • He also indecently assaulted a boy at the same home.

One victim slammed Ahmed’s complete lack of remorse and said the abuse ruined his relationship with his own children. The female victim called the conviction a “victory for all sexual abuse victims” and declared she’s ready to unload her torment onto her abuser.

Praise for Police ‘Justice with Courage’

Both survivors credited South Yorkshire Police investigator DC Joanne Smithson for her dogged determination to bring Ahmed to justice. One victim said:

“I would like to offer my sincere and heartfelt gratitude to South Yorkshire Police for fulfilling their motto: ‘Justice with Courage’ through the actions of the investigating officer, DC Joanne Smithson. You never gave up on us and you continued to seek justice for us.”

Ahmed was found guilty on 5 January by a unanimous jury, finally bringing a dark chapter to a close after decades of silence and suffering.
