Girl, 12, Charged After Teen Boy Stabbed in Bromley

A shocking stabbing on Downham Way, Bromley, has left a 13-year-old boy injured and a 12-year-old girl charged with wounding and weapon possession.

Stabbing Shocks Bromley Community

The Metropolitan Police were called at 5:16pm on Thursday, June 12 following reports of a stabbing. Emergency crews found the teenage boy with stab wounds. He was treated on the spot before being rushed to hospital.

Police say his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

12-Year-Old Girl Arrested and Charged

A 12-year-old girl from the Lewisham area was arrested near the scene soon after the attack. She has been formally charged with wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.

Due to her age, the girl’s identity is protected by UK law.

She is due to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on June 14 to face the charges.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detectives are asking anyone who was in the Downham Way area at the time to come forward with information.
