Drug Dealer Jailed for Nearly Six Years After County Lines Bust

A 30-year-old drug dealer has been locked up for five years and eight months following a police crackdown on illegal drug operations in Kettering.

Shannon Lee O’Boyle Caught Red-Handed

Shannon Lee O’Boyle, who hails from Kettering, resumed dealing cocaine and heroin in the town just two months after getting released from prison last September. But cops were on his tail.

Police investigations into the notorious ‘Flash Line’ exposed O’Boyle as one of the key drug line holders.

Police Raid Uncovers Evidence

On December 18, officers raided O’Boyle’s home in Dalkeith Place. They seized several mobile phones, including one linked to the Flash Line, along with stacks of cash and a folding knife.

He Pleaded Guilty and Faced the Music

O’Boyle was arrested and charged with two counts of being involved in supplying Class A drugs, plus possession of criminal property. After pleading guilty at Northampton Crown Court on March 28, he returned to court on May 21 for sentencing.

He was jailed for five years and eight months.

Police Vow to Keep Up the Fight

“I welcome the sentence handed out to O’Boyle as it shows repeat offenders will face long jail terms,” said Detective Constable Fay Maskell of the North LPA CID Team.

“Thanks to the Metropolitan Police’s support, we confirmed O’Boyle as one of the drug line holders. Tackling drug harm is a top priority for Northamptonshire Police, and we’ll keep working to bring offenders like him to justice.”
