Woman Evicted After Drug Dealing and Nuisance Complaints in Rochester
Drug dealing and repeated anti-social behaviour from a flat in Rochester have finally been cracked down on. A woman has been evicted, and a strict closure order slapped on the property.
20 Complaints Spark Swift Police Action
Since January, kent-police/" title="Kent Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Kent Police have logged 20 complaints about a flat on King Street. Reports included county lines drug dealing and loud, disruptive parties disturbing neighbours.
Kent Police’s Medway Community Safety Unit teamed up with Medway Council and the housing association. Together, they pushed for a closure order, which Medway Magistrates’ Court approved on 21 April. The order came into force immediately.
Zero Tolerance: No Entry for Three Months
The flat is now off-limits for the next three months. Anyone breaching the order risks arrest, fines, and even jail time.
