Teenager Stabbed to Death in London’s West End
A 17-year-old boy was fatally stabbed in a daylight attack in London’s bustling West End on Saturday evening.
Knife Attack Sparks Major Police Investigation
Police rushed to Market Place at the Oxford Street junction at 5.38pm on 8 August after reports of an assault. Officers found Jeremy Menesses suffering from a stab wound. Despite emergency treatment at a central London hospital, Jeremy was pronounced dead at 7.33pm.
Three Men Arrested Following Bloody Brawl
Later, three 18-year-old men from south London arrived at a hospital with minor stab wounds. They have been arrested on suspicion of murder and assisting an offender. All remain in police custody.
Detectives Plead for Witnesses to Come Forward
Detective Chief Inspector Katherine Goodwin said: “This attack happened after a fight between several males in broad daylight and was witnessed by many horrified onlookers. We’ve spoken to a number of people but urgently need anyone with information, videos, or images to contact us. Your help could be vital.”
Superintendent Rob Shepherd added: “There will be increased police patrols in the area. We are doing everything to support the investigation and urge anyone with information to approach officers or call 101 quoting Cad 6404/08Aug.”
