Police cracked down on a gang of reckless drivers caught committing road offences at a local hotspot.
Drivers Banned and Fined After Dangerous Driving Spree
- Daniel Skinner, 24, of Long Row, Tibenham, pleaded guilty to failing to identify a driver. He’s been slapped with an 18-month driving ban, fined £400, and hit with £105 in costs plus a £160 victim surcharge.
- Tye Caldwell, 21, from Wilsons Square, Harleston, also failed to identify a driver. He faces the same 18-month ban, £369 fine, £105 costs, and £148 victim surcharge.
- Lewis England, 25, of Rodwell Corner, Cawston, was fined £166 and given four penalty points for driving without due care and attention. He also must pay £105 in costs and a £34 victim surcharge.
- Wilson Potter, 19, from Magdalen Road, Eye, received the same four points and a £133 fine plus £105 costs and £34 surcharge for careless driving.
- Kyran George, 20, of Raymond Road, norwich/" title="Norwich" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Norwich, was fined £130 and sanctioned with four points, £105 costs, and a £34 victim surcharge for similar offences.
Strong Warning From Police
Sgt Ade Hales said: “I would like to reiterate that we are not targeting genuine car enthusiasts as we understand they are not interested in participating in reckless behaviour.”
“We will continue to prosecute those who pose a risk to their own safety and the safety of those around them.”
