Drug Dealer Jailed Over £5 Million Cocaine Haul
Mehmet Greca, 32, from Friern Barnet, has been locked up for six years after cops found £5 million worth of high-purity cocaine at his flat. The Met’s London Crime Squad swooped on 13 December 2016 and hit the jackpot.
£5 Million Cocaine Stash Busted
Officers forced entry despite an iron grille securing the door. Inside, they uncovered 51 kilograms of cocaine packed in giant bags, alongside a rapid cash-counting machine. Greca also had over £80,000 in cash stashed away.
Quick Justice at Harrow Crown Court
Greca pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of criminal property on 22 November at Harrow Crown Court. He was jailed the same day. The court also ordered the forfeiture of £80,000 in cash.
Crime Squad Cracks Down on Drug Flood
“Greca intended to flood the streets of London and the UK with a vast quantity of class A drugs,” said DC Jonathan Payne from the London Crime Squad. “This was a significant seizure, removing a large quantity of drugs and a sizeable sum in cash.”
The haul deals a heavy blow to the London drug trade and takes a dangerous criminal off the streets.
