Armed Robbery Spree Shakes Camden and York Way
Police were scrambled at 5.40am on 1 October after two men launched a terrifying armed raid at Tesco on Camden Road, NW1.
One thug brandished a handgun and threatened staff, while his mate grabbed piles of goods and made off. But their spree didn’t stop there.
Same Pair Hit Another Shop Just 40 Minutes Later
The duo struck again at the Nisa Local store on York Way, N1, pulling the exact same stunt within the hour.
Third Heist Turns Even More Dangerous
In a chilling twist, the pair returned to the York Way Nisa at 3.20am on 4 October, this time with a third man in tow.
They waved a handgun, knife, and hammer at terrified shoppers before stealing goods.
Two Arrested, Third Suspect Still on the Loose
Police have since arrested and charged two of the men. Both remain in custody following a court hearing. But the mystery third man is still out there, and detectives are begging the public for info.
Detective Constable Will Wigzell of the Central Specialist Crime Flying Squad said:
“This was a very frightening experience for the victims involved, thankfully none of whom were injured.
“We have made good progress since our initial appeal but are keen for any information that helps us identify the third person involved. While we don’t have a description for him, I am sure someone out there knows who he is.”
