Folkestone Drug Dealer Busted with £4,500 of Heroin and Crack
A notorious drug dealer has been locked up after a Kent Police sting uncovered a stash of heroin and crack cocaine worth thousands in Folkestone.
Andre Musungu Caught Red-Handed
Andre Musungu, 20, was arrested at a hotel on The Leas, Folkestone, on the afternoon of Thursday 10 December 2020. Officers from the County Lines and Gangs Team were called to the scene following a nearby disturbance. Inside his room, they found a whopping 250 heroin wraps and 87 crack cocaine wraps — the lot valued at around £4,500.
Messy Texts Spill the Beans
Police also seized Musungu’s phone, revealing messages that linked him directly to the ‘AA’ drug line. One message showed a frustrated user complaining about the poor-quality ‘muck’ he was sold. Musungu’s dirty deeds weren’t confined to Folkestone — he had been caught with similar drugs in Newmarket, Suffolk, just months earlier in July 2020.
Justice Served: Four-and-a-Half Years Inside
At Canterbury Crown Court on Tuesday 27 April 2021, Musungu pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply. He was sentenced on 17 May to four and a half years in a young offenders’ institution.
“Kent Police is committed to disrupting and shutting down county lines networks and bringing those involved to justice,” said Detective Constable Jake Griffiths. “The class A drugs Musungu was bringing into Folkestone would have inevitably led to more crime and anti-social behaviour. I’m pleased his illegal wares have been seized and he has been removed from the streets for a significant amount of time.”
