Deputy Chief Constable Paul Mills of Wiltshire Police condemned Reed’s conduct, saying, “His actions were wholly inappropriate, violated the dignity of his colleague, and caused significant distress.” Reed’s behaviour amounted to unwanted sexual conduct.

Following the dismissal, Reed has been placed on the national barred list, banning him from any future policing roles across the UK.
Wiltshire Police Pledges Zero Tolerance
“There is no place in Wiltshire Police for anyone who acts like this,” Mills added. Reed was suspended immediately after the incident came to light.
“This will undoubtedly cause concern among the public and risks undermining the hard work of our dedicated officers. We are committed to the highest standards and will act swiftly when they are breached,” Mills stressed.
The victim will continue to receive full support from the force. Wiltshire Police urges anyone worried about officers’ professionalism to come forward immediately.
