Man in His 40s Shot in Legs in Croxteth Shooting Horror
Police have launched a probe after a man in his 40s was shot in the legs on Altcross Road, Croxteth, late Friday night.
Officers rushed to the scene just after 10:10pm on February 28 following reports of gunfire. The victim was taken to hospital, where sources say his injuries are serious but not life-threatening.
Police Hunt for Witnesses to Shooting
Merseyside Police have deployed forensic teams and are combing through CCTV footage as part of a full investigation. Detectives are appealing for locals who were in the area around 10pm to come forward with any information.
Detective Inspector Joanne Jacob said: “The investigation is in its early stages as we try to piece together what happened. We are keen to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in Altcross Road at around 10pm, or who may have dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell camera footage.”

DI Jacob stressed the devastating consequences gun crime wreaks on communities. She urged the public to help identify those responsible and take firearms off the streets.
“We know guns cause misery on our streets and we ask anyone with information to come forward. Merseyside Police is committed to removing firearms and bringing offenders to justice.”
