Cop Binned! Officer Banned After Smashing Ex’s Car
PC Elliot Booker-Keep’s career is in tatters after a serious misconduct hearing on July 15. Deputy Commissioner Helen Ball slammed the South Area Command Unit officer for “discreditable conduct” following a Kent Police probe.
Thrown Bin Sparks Court Drama
The trouble started on January 2, 2022, when Booker-Keep lobbed a bin at his ex’s car, shattering the windscreen. He pleaded guilty to criminal damage at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on June 8.
- Three-month conditional discharge handed down
- Ordered to pay £85 court costs
- £22 victim surcharge added
The incident happened off-duty, but the fallout was swift. The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards was alerted immediately, and Booker-Keep was slapped with restricted duty.
Officer Blacklisted and Barred for Life
The final nail in the coffin came when PC Booker-Keep was added to the College of Policing’s Barred List. This means he’s banned from working with the police, local authorities, the IOPC, or HMIC – effectively ending his law enforcement career.
