Four Men Jailed Over Southampton Drug and Gun Bust
Four men have been slammed with a combined 17 years and five months behind bars after a major police probe into drug supply and firearms in Southampton.
Key Players Caught with Cannabis and Guns
- Sylwester Adam Idziak (32) from Winchester Road got eight years and six months for possessing a firearm in public and conspiring to supply class B cannabis.
- Simon Tekle (23) of Newcombe Road pleaded guilty to the same offences and was handed six years and four months.
- Michal Hubert Lasak (30) from King Georges Avenue admitted conspiracy to supply cannabis and was given 13 months.
- Shey Roberts (24) of Juniper Close, Andover, was found guilty of conspiracy to supply cannabis and sentenced to 18 months.
How the Sting Unfolded
The seizures followed a 2018 operation by Hampshire Constabulary’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit. Two men faced trial at Southampton Crown Court in 2019, while the others pleaded guilty beforehand.
Lasak was nabbed on the M3 on September 6 after police found 1kg of cannabis in his car boot. He’d been sent by Idziak to collect the stash from Roberts in Andover – a deal with a street value topping £10,000.
Days later, armed officers stopped Idziak on Archers Road. He’d just received a bag from Tekle containing a handgun and eight bullets. Both were arrested, and cops found £1,500 worth of cannabis at Tekle’s home.

“They were not only threats to each other and their associates but also dangerous to our communities. This case highlights our commitment to tackling organised crime.
