Drug Dealer Nabbed in Brighton TFU Sting
A drug dealer was caught red-handed after a Tactical Firearms Unit (TFU) patrol in Brighton swooped in on February 7.
Suspicious Taxi Stop Leads to Bust
Fiorent Muharremi drew attention while riding shotgun in a taxi around Clifton Road and Clifton Hill. After just 100 metres, he jumped out—raising red flags for nearby officers.
Undercover cops quickly moved in, searching Muharremi and finding cash plus 30 bags of Class A and B drugs. He was immediately arrested on charges of intent to supply.
Guilty Plea and Court Date Set
The 20-year-old, a car valet with no fixed address, pleaded guilty at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on February 8. He admitted to intending to supply Class A and possession with intent to supply Class B drugs. Muharremi was held in custody ahead of sentencing.
TFU Cracks Down on Drug Supply
“Our highly-trained officers do much more than armed response,” said TFU Inspector Oli Fisher. “They regularly patrol to support fellow officers and run proactive ops to disrupt drug supply networks that harm our communities.”
Muharremi will face sentencing at Lewes Crown Court on March 7.
