Paedo Dean Randall Jailed for 25 Years After Decade of Horror Abuse
Dean Randall, 41, formerly of Prince of Wales Road, Bournemouth, was locked up for 25 years today (January 23) after a jury at Southampton Crown Court found him guilty of 25 horrific child sex offences.
Twisted Record of Abuse Spanning Over a Decade
Randall was convicted on Monday, January 20, of a sickening spree including:
- 4 counts of rape
- 3 counts of buggery
- 4 counts of indecency with a child
- 15 counts of indecent assault
The crimes happened between 1993 and 2004. One offence involved a victim aged 16 or over, so was not counted as a child sex offence.
Victims Break Silence After Years of Torment
Living in the New Forest when the abuse began, Randall targeted three children – two boys and one girl – with a relentless campaign of terror lasting nearly ten years.
It wasn’t until 2017 that the victims stepped forward to Hampshire Police, bravely sharing their stories and seeking justice.
Justice Served Despite Randall’s Denials
Randall denied the accusations, forcing his victims to relive their nightmare in court. But their courage paid off, exposing Randall’s appalling crimes.
“The verdict and sentence is testament to their courage and bravery in coming forward. We encourage anyone affected by child sexual abuse to contact police on 101 and speak confidentially with specialist detectives,” said a Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson.
