Man Charged with Murder After Northfleet Death
Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate have charged a 28-year-old man with murder following the death of a man in Northfleet.
Tragic Death in Hamerton Road
Kent Police were called to an address on Hamerton Road at 2.46am on Tuesday, 4 February 2020. Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended, but a 44-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect Arrested and Charged
Later that afternoon at 4.25pm, officers arrested Harry Harris from Stanway Close, Chigwell, Essex on suspicion of murder. The victim and Harris were known to each other.
Court Date Set for Murder and Knife Charges
On Thursday, 6 February, the Crown Prosecution Service approved a murder charge against Harris. He also faces a charge of possession of a knife. Harris is currently in custody and will appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court.
