Hero Resident Saves Driver from Flaming Crash in West Kingsdown
Drama struck West Kingsdown at 5am on Saturday when a car careered off Hever Avenue, smashing into street lamps and a wall.
Local hero sprang into action after hearing a crash described as a “bomb going off.” Leaping out of bed, they pulled the trapped driver from the wreck just seconds before the vehicle erupted into flames.
Driver Hospitalised After Narrow Escape
Paramedics treated the driver at the scene before rushing them to hospital. The driver claims they swerved to avoid a motorbike speeding on the wrong side of the road.
Damaged Street Lamps Being Made Safe
Several lamp posts were wrecked in the smash and are now being secured by UK Power to prevent further danger.
