Knife-Wielding Stalker Locked Up for Two Years in Hull
Ryan Stephenson, 32, from Johnson Court, Hedon, has been slammed with a two-year jail term at Hull Crown Court for stalking and criminal damage. The court slapped a five-year restraining order on him to keep him away from his terrified victim.

On Boxing Day 2023, Stephenson showed up at the woman’s house armed with a knife. He smashed a window by chucking a can through it and caused damage to the property. Police swooped quickly, catching him trying to ditch the knife in a nearby drain.
Bailbreaker Leaves Threatening Notes, Gets Re-Arrested
Even after being granted bail with strict no-contact rules, Stephenson ignored the conditions. He harassed the woman and her family with intrusive messages and even left a handwritten note at her property. Police nabbed him again on 30 December. He later admitted to breaching bail conditions during questioning.

“Stephenson’s actions left not just the woman but her family feeling scared. No one should feel unsafe in their own home,” said Detective Constable Ian Spain, lead investigator.
Authorities and the Crown Prosecution Service are clear: stalking, harassment, and coercive control won’t be tolerated. Victims are urged to come forward and use support services like Crimestoppers or The National Stalking Helpline for confidential help.
