Police Raid Uncovers Stolen Car Parts Cache in Sheffield

Detectives have launched an investigation after a haul of suspected stolen car parts was uncovered at a commercial site in Sheffield. Officers from the Operational Support Unit swooped on a premises on Meadowhall Road during proactive enquiries on Tuesday, 27 July.

Two Men Arrested in Motor Vehicle Theft Probe

Two suspects, aged 18 and 33, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of motor vehicle theft. Detective Inspector Andy Shields hailed the discovery as “a really great find,” revealing the recovery of a large quantity of alleged stolen parts.

He added: “We have also seized a vehicle from the location as part of our enquiries. I’d ask anyone who knows anything about this site to get in touch as our investigation continues.”

The pair have been bailed under strict conditions while police maintain a presence at the site to gather more evidence. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward to aid the probe.
