London Teen Tosses Heroin Out Window to Dodge Cops – Ends Up Behind Bars
A young London drug dealer’s desperate attempt to ditch heroin by chucking it out of a window has landed him in jail. Jaydn Charles, 18, was caught after making the trip from Lewisham to Maidstone to push his deadly wares.
Plain Clothes Police Nab Dealer
On 22 August 2017 at around 11am, undercover cops raided a flat on Brunswick Street, Maidstone. Inside, they found Charles with two mobile phones and a bag of empty wraps. His dodgy behaviour gave him away, and he was promptly arrested on suspicion of drug supply.
Drugs Discovered Below Flat
A search of the premises revealed a stash hidden in the garden right under the flat’s window — 120 wraps of heroin worth between £1,200 and £2,400 on the street. Forensic tests confirmed Charles’ DNA on the package, sealing his fate.
Sentenced to Almost Two Years for Dealing
At Maidstone Crown Court on 15 August 2018, Charles pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply. The judge handed him a 22-month sentence in a Young Offenders’ Institution.
“This teenager came to Maidstone to deal drugs to vulnerable members of our community and it is right that he has been jailed,” said District Commander Chief Inspector Mark Hedges.
“I am determined these offenders are brought to justice. Maidstone is not a safe haven for drug dealers from outside Kent.”
