£400K Cocaine Haul Seized in Tamworth Bust
Two suspects have been arrested after police uncovered a massive stash of cocaine worth around £400,000 in Tamworth. Officers swooped following a routine stop in an Aldi car park.
Mercedes Stop Leads to Huge Drug Find
At about 1.20pm on Tuesday 10 December, police pulled over a black Mercedes at Ventura Park Road Aldi car park. They discovered a small bag of cocaine and a burner phone inside the vehicle. Two people in the car were immediately arrested.
House Search Uncovers Four Kilograms of Cocaine
The arrest sparked a search of a property in Bolehall, where officers found four kilogrammes of cocaine, estimated to be worth £400,000 on the streets. Cannabis, drug scales, and other supply-related items were also seized.
Suspects Held on Multiple Charges
- A 29-year-old Tamworth man faces charges including possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession of cannabis, driving without a license, and driving without insurance.
- A 34-year-old Tamworth woman was arrested for possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession of cannabis, and permitting the use of a vehicle without insurance.
Both remain in police custody as investigations continue.

Since May last year, police have arrested more than 1,000 suspects linked to drugs and weapons offences. Officers vow to keep targeting organised crime that blights local communities every day.
“Organised crime is a blight on local communities and is being targeted every single day by proactive officers,” said a police spokesperson.
