Burglar Busted by Bright Neon T-Shirt
A bungling thief’s bright neon T-shirt gave him away after he swiped luxury Gucci and Cartier watches in a daring Tunbridge Wells raid. James Wall didn’t stand a chance.
Wild Chase on the M25 Ends in Arrest
The 20-year-old struck at a Southborough home on December 13, 2025, making off with four watches, a diamond ring, and stacks of foreign cash. When a witness confronted him, Wall hurled abuse before speeding off in a silver Vauxhall Insignia.
Police tracked Wall’s car doing nearly 100mph on the M25 hard shoulder. He even tried a deadly wrong-way manoeuvre near the A2 at Wilmington. The chase ended with the car stopped and a 38-year-old man with driving offences later released.
Caught Red-Handed Munching Fish & Chips
A dog handler found Wall hiding in a Bexley chip shop, cool as you like, munching fish and chips and charging his phone behind the counter. Police seized the mobile, and forensics linked Wall straight to the burglary scene.
Evidence Piles Up as Thief Faces Justice
- Abandoned car contained jewellery boxes, false number plates, and a jewellery-cleaning cloth
- Wall pleaded guilty at Maidstone Crown Court on January 12, 2026
- Sentenced to two years behind bars on March 25
Detective Constable Celia King said: “Wall laughed while watching footage from the pursuit and initially denied any guilt despite overwhelming evidence. The judge noted the elaborate planning behind the burglary and handed down an immediate custodial sentence.”
