Two Maidstone Drug Dealers Caught with Cocaine Worth Up to £35,000
Two drug dealers from Maidstone have been locked up for a total of five years after police uncovered £35,000 worth of cocaine at their flat. The bust started with a routine traffic stop that led to a major drug haul and exposed a County Lines operation.
Traffic Stop Uncovers Stash of Cocaine
On 15 March 2025, 21-year-old Klevis Arifi was stopped on Boxley Road. Officers found eight bags of cocaine in his car. Arifi gave his address on Union Street, Maidstone, where police quickly tracked down 28-year-old Asllan Cani. Both men were arrested at the flat.
A search at their home uncovered £1,050 in cash, multiple small bags of cocaine, and two vacuum-sealed blocks weighing 204 grams in total.
Experts Value Cocaine at Tens of Thousands
Experts estimated the pure cocaine’s street value at £10,000. Once cut and processed, the haul could have sold for between £20,000 and £25,000 on the streets.
County Lines Drug Operation Exposed
Text messages on seized phones revealed the pair were deeply involved not just in street-level selling but also in a wider County Lines network supplying Maidstone.
Both men pleaded guilty to supplying cocaine and possession of criminal property. Arifi also admitted driving without insurance.
Jailed for Two and a Half Years Each
On 19 September 2025, Maidstone Crown Court sentenced Arifi and Cani to two and a half years behind bars each.
“This is a great result as it takes a large quantity of class A drugs off the streets and puts key suppliers to Maidstone behind bars,” said PC Brandon Mills, the lead investigator. “The initial stop was only possible thanks to extensive police work. The team’s efforts have paid off.”
