Drama on Seaford Cliffs as Man Stranded by Rising Tide
Coastguard teams from Newhaven and Burling Gap are battling tough conditions to rescue a man trapped on the cliffs at Seaford tonight (Saturday).
Stranded By Tide, Rescue Underway
The alarm was raised around 7pm by a member of the public who spotted the man cut off by the incoming tide. Multiple emergency crews rushed to the scene after reports flooded in of loud rescue activity.
Cliff Rescue in Action
A coastguard source confirmed the man has been found on Seaford Head Beach near Splashpoint. Coastguard Rescue Officers are carefully planning how to reach and bring him to safety.
A cliff technician was lowered down the cliff face to retrieve the man, who is reportedly uninjured and unable to self-rescue.

He had journeyed down from London, bringing his guitar along for the adventure. His tricky predicament has mobilised around 10 Coastguard Officers from two teams to coordinate the rescue.
