Man, 45, Arrested After Suspicious Early Morning Incident in Paisley
Police swooped on a 45-year-old man in Paisley after a woman was approached in suspicious circumstances just after 2am on Sunday, August 25, 2024. The incident happened on Garthland Lane, right in Paisley Town Centre.
From Suspicious to Aggressive
Police Scotland confirmed officers were called to reports of a man acting suspiciously towards a woman before his behaviour turned aggressive. Quick police response led to the prompt arrest of the suspect on the scene.
Legal Proceedings Underway
The man, whose name remains under wraps, has been charged and released on an undertaking to appear before Paisley Sheriff Court at a later date. Details of the charges are yet to be revealed.
Detective Inspector Gordon Smith said: “Enquiries into this incident remain ongoing. We are appealing to anyone who was in Paisley Town Centre during the early hours of Sunday to come forward.”
