Dartford Man Busted After Swanley Farm Break-In Attempt
A Dartford man has been charged over a botched break-in at a Swanley farm, Kent Police confirmed today.
Ryan Holt Charged with Multiple Offences
Ryan Holt, 23, of Elm Road, Dartford, faces a slew of serious charges. These include aggravated vehicle taking, failing to stop for police, driving while disqualified, driving without insurance, and possession of cannabis.
He is currently remanded in custody ahead of his Medway Magistrates’ Court hearing set for Thursday, February 29.
Police Pursuit Ends in Arrest After Farm Break-In Attempt
The drama unfolded on the evening of Tuesday, February 28, when police were called to reports of an attempted break-in near Ship Lane, Swanley. Four suspects tried to raid stable buildings on the property but fled when disturbed.
Officers from the Swanley Local Policing Team quickly spotted a suspicious vehicle leaving Crockham Hill. A short but fierce chase ensued as the vehicle sped towards Swanley village.
During the pursuit, the suspect’s car rammed a police patrol vehicle. Three occupants then fled on foot, but Holt was caught with the help of the police helicopter and canine unit.
Ongoing Hunt for Remaining Suspects
Kent Police say the investigation is far from over. They are actively searching for the other suspects involved in the raid.
Authorities are calling on the public to come forward with any information, dashcam footage, or private CCTV recordings from the area around the time of the incident.
