A man has been charged after a fire ripped through a quiet Kensington street in the early hours.

The fire broke out just after midnight on March 1, jolting residents awake. London Fire Brigade and Ambulance crews were on the scene fast, teaming up with police to tackle the flames with impressive speed and coordination.

Man Held on Suspicion of Arson

With the fire deemed suspicious, cops launched a full investigation. Their efforts paid off on March 3 when 25-year-old Wesley Guilherme Farias was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.

Charged and Due in Court

Farias, who has no fixed address, was formally charged the next day. He faces Westminster Magistrates’ Court on March 4 to answer the serious allegations against him.
