Man Charged Over Battersea Death and Walthamstow Attack
A 24-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of Adrian Murphy, 43, in Battersea. Joel Osei, with no fixed address, was arrested on Thursday, 24 October.
Linked to Two Separate Incidents
Osei faces charges over two shocking cases. The first is the death of Adrian Murphy, found dead on 4 June at a Battersea block of flats.
The second incident happened months earlier, on 30 May in Walthamstow. A 40-year-old man was found unconscious and rushed to hospital but later discharged.
Serious Charges Laid
On Friday, 25 October, Joel Osei was hit with multiple charges:
- Two counts of poisoning – administering a substance to endanger life or cause serious harm
- Two counts of theft linked to both incidents
- Six counts of fraud by false representation involving both victims
Osei is set to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 26 October.
