Joseph Smith, 22, Busted After String of Crimes

Police in Paddock Wood arrested Joseph Smith, 22, from no fixed address, after tracking him down at a property on Fuggles Close on 17 May 2018. Smith faces a slew of serious charges following a crime spree across Kent.

Charged with Theft, Assault, Dangerous Driving and More

Smith has been charged with:

  • Using threatening or abusive behaviour
  • Two counts of assault
  • Dangerous driving
  • Driving without insurance
  • Driving while disqualified
  • Theft and handling stolen goods
  • Fare evasion on railway transport

Offences Spanning Several Months and Towns

The alleged offences occurred between 22 January and 15 May 2018 across Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and Lenham. Following his arrest and charging, Smith was remanded in custody and is due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on 18 May.
