Man Charged with Murder of Father in Dublin Stabbing
Joseph Lawlor, 38, from Hampton Road, Finglas, faced Dublin District Court today over the murder of 51-year-old Michael Ryan.
Finglas Stabbing Shocks Local Community
The brutal assault happened in Finglas on Thursday, June 20. Michael Ryan, a father of two from Carton Road, Poppintree near Ballymun, was found seriously injured shortly after midnight on Hampton Wood Way, St. Margaret’s Road.
He was rushed to Mater Hospital but was tragically pronounced dead.
Arrest and Court Appearance
Garda Shane Gallagher from Finglas Garda Station arrested Lawlor yesterday afternoon. Lawlor remained silent when charged and cautioned.
Judge John Hughes granted the accused legal aid due to unemployment. Lawlor was remanded in custody and will appear at Cloverhill District Court on Friday, June 28.
